Under Seat Exhaust

UnderSeat Silencer + Mud Guard Modd For R15

Can the New R15 v2.0 tail be fixed to an Old R15?

Many of you wondered if this was possible? Well the answer is "YES"
The only changes are, you will need the new tail side fairings, two seats, Led Stop lights, New Mud guard. But...All hese are easy to get.
The real concern is the Bike's Frame.
Here is a link to a blog http://www.dhakdhakgo.com/?cat=89 (sorry if i am using ur diagram)

If you look at the above diagram, the new R15 v2 frame is placed higher than the old one.
That could easily be done by making a slight elevation to the sub frame. But the position of the seats with locking system would be a little difficult to achieve.

Adding of mounting points to hold the fairings is simple.
So for those who is keen on geting this done with a lot of patience is a piece of cake. This modd includes a lot of welding work. Please go to a service station and get a good look at the new frame and then proceed with the modd.
Sadly i wont be getting this modd done as the tail of my bike is damn high. (difficult for people to get on to my bike)

So, Here is my new modd,

Underseat silencer with FZ Mud guard for R15

This is just a pic showing how the silencer would rest on the new mud guard.
The FZ Mud guard is almost a direct fit for the R15.

Underseat exhaust can be easily fixed on to the bike. after the frame behind the red stop light is removed.

The picture of the frame behind the stop light of R15 after removal. Now the exhaust can be easily fixed with the help of a clamp.

Routing of the bend pipe is as shown below in the pictures,

Cosmetic changes yet to be done.

A slight make over for the rear.....

    1. Yes, it can be fixed, but you will have to make the frame wider because the new aluminium swing arm is slighly wider. Also you will have to change the rims tyres brakes chain etc. lot of money..

    1. Hi,
There is no problem with heat, just make sure your bend pipe goes over the engine and not under the engine, You get more power if it goes over the engine, Mine is currentl under the engine and i have a problem with power.
Dont let the exhause pipe touch any plastic part. get it clamped to the metal frame.

  14. Hi Bevin,

I have paid token money for this bike (r15 v2.0) at the showroom but the only thing which puzzle me is that "Can the seat be modified to that of r15 v1.0?".

    1. Hi, it can be done only if u change the whole back frame of the bike (which is not advisable)
You will then need to purchase a lot of parts (added cost) and its also very risky (in case if it breaks off)

    2. Thanks a lot for this reply. I am getting a delivery of this bike tomorrow (hopefully). Still not sure if i will go with this bike or fz16. Anyways i will own either of the bike by tomorrow :)

  19. hi.. needles to mention abt ur contribution.. i had a query.. can FZ16 swing arm be replaced with R15v2 split seat??

    ReplyDelete

    1. FZ swing arm to R15 v2?
Not possible, as R15 v2 has linked type suspension FZ has mono, so.. even if u try to fix it, the tyre will hit against the frame cos of the height difference., while the other way is possible from r15 to FZ16.

And abt the tail. - yes its possible, but the problem is, you have to buy a frame of r15 v2 or make one similar to it and then weld it on the FZ16 original frame.

  20. hey,can u tell me how did u increase the rear height ?

    ReplyDelete
  21. n btw can u tell me which silencer did u fix below de seat ?? n how much did it cost? reply asap !!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Height got increased as i removed the linked type shocks and fixed a mono shock.. so the mono shock is longer..n moreover its welded onto the frame near the tank.. that gave the extra height to the bike..

and abt the silencer.. its just some china free flow exhaust.. it costed abt 1800..(it has a cap that can toggle between loud n less loud noise)in case cops catch me..

    2. thanks bro... n btw can u tell me how much did the monoshock cost? n is dat monoshock of FZ?

    3. this bike looks gr8 bro :) awesome
and btw can we fit R15 v2.0 seat to Fz16

      Delete
    4. @ Anonymous - yes that is FZ 16 shocks, its about 2400 rupess( i dont remember)

@kancharla nithin - U need only the seat to be fixed? then u cannot cos it has a locking system under it.
if ur talking abt the tail, u ll hav to do a lot of welding.. but yet it can be fixed.

      Regards,
      Bevin

  33. Hello Bevin,

Excellent work, its brilliant. Thanks a lot for showcasing such a nice blog along with pics. Well, could you please suggest me on replacing the FZ16 rear seat with R15 V2 split seat, i would like to replace the entire fairings, split seat and danger light as well. Would it be possible with welding work and clamps setting? Would like to change the entire back portion of FZ to R15 V2.

    Awaiting for your response.

    Regards,
    Raj
